Releasing at waning moon

When we talk of releasing, letting go, cleansing out and ending something it is assumed we want rid of something, but that sounds one dimensional in a way. Releasing something doesn’t necessarily mean we want to get rid of something unwanted, bad or negative. The meaning of true release and letting go lies deeper.
What we do want to engage along with a desire to free ourselves from something is a gratitude to that something we seek to let go off. We say ‘release all that no longer serves us’, which always implies that at one point or another, perhaps, for a long time, perhaps, all our lives, that something/someone served us well. It might have helped us to servive, to cope. Perhaps, it needed to be there to facilitate our learning, our exploration of the world and ourselves ultimately. We needed that something to be with us. When we release at waning moon we don’t seek to throw away and banish, but we clear a space for something new to come in and we say deep thanks to that, which did serve us well at one point but no longer does. At that point it becomes clear that it limits and locks our further development and for that reason it is time we released it, let it go.

Releasing, waning moon spells are simple yet very powerful if in context of what it is that you are doing. Every ritual/spell casting time is sacred and intention is clear.

The Fire element is often associated with releasing/letting go spells, as Fire energy is pure transformational form when when you throw something into flames something else comes out of it. In this case a new you, a new space is created when something dies and something is born at the same time within you.

Other simple releasing elements are Earth, Air and Water and you can use whatever calls to you at a given moment. You might choose to release a feather into the wind or water or bury some ash in the ground. Listen hard to what your intuition directs you to regarding your releasing work. Follow with courage and reassurance that it is the right thing for you.

Magic is a tool, which allows us to use natural forces to create desires effect and if performed with senserity and integrity in the heart, it is powerful work to which there is always a powerful response is produced.

Remember be grateful for whatever had served us and release it with love and understanding, appreciation and gratitude for the growth it did facilitate in you or for the shelter it did provide for your wounded soul at one time or another. Teachers come in different forms and often something/someone  we are not keen on prove to be the most valuable participants in our journey to spirit.

Blessings!

Goddess Retrieval – perfect time to reconnect to the Divine feminine within

Goddess Retrieval e-guide – a perfect start to the journey of renewal

Goddess retrieval cover new

~~ Hello magical beings, are you ready to reconnect to the Goddess within you? ~~

I follow the Wheel of the Year in my nature-based spiritual practice and it is such a joyous and beautiful way of tuning into specific special energies around us at specific times. One of the Goddesses associated with this time of year is the Greek Goddess Persephone. Her story is one of the oldest of Greek myths, which honours and portraits cycles of life and death, old and new, darkness and light. Every spring she comes back from the Underworld to bless the Earth with flowers, new life, new beginnings and growth. Spring comes again. This e-guide puts you in touch with The Maiden Goddess and all the qualities that she embodies and also talks about the triple aspect of the Goddess.

This popular e-guide takes the format of daily exercises/techniques/inspirational information for several days and available…

The Silver Birch – the queen of trees

Silver birth speaks to me as the triple goddess, a maiden, mother and a crone ever present throughout seasons.

She’s a delicate being yet sturdy and oh so full of wisdom. She wears various outfits through spring, summer, autumn and winter and never disappoints in her appearance.

Elegant, soft, flexible, flowing with long hair and stretching limbs I have always felt her as divine feminine in a tree form.

In spring many folk drink birch sap or juice. My parents did it, my grandparents did it and anscestors before them. It is known as a rejuvenating clean sweet liquid containing many vitamins and minerals.

This beauty caught my eye as I was driving on the eve of Ostara. She’s simply magnificent!

Earthly peace of a soul

When does a soul finds its Earthly peace? Powerful… Words from a song went deep through my skin earlier today. One has got to have something in their life that touches them, something beyond personal, something that feels and look like home, a feeling of pure and sacred. From that precious thing a life meaning is born.

What is that something that touches you in your life?

Without anything that touches our tender heart is our experience full? What are we here for? What is life without a spirit, purpose or meaning? In the absence of the precious thing we walk on the Earth blind, dead, strangers to all things spirit. We are born with that feeling intact in us and very few remain in touch in that. It either gets snatched away, hidden, banished or lost.
Spirit, however, continues to exist, live and breathe all around us, if not within. It continues to love unconditionally. It seeks that reunion again and again, it knocks on our door, stops you in your tracks, sends signs and blessings, sometimes dresses as sorrow to catch our attention. Do we notice? To notice one must stop yourself, anchor heavy into feelings and until we cry all the tears and open up all the wounds and dig around in them we do not allow ourselves to move. There’s no escape from spirit. We can’t live without a soul. It’s ever present, but whether it remains crying or it is allowed to rejoice that is a choice to make. How do we get back in touch with spirit. Ask yourself what touches you? What gives your eyes a sight that takes your breath away.

Psychological healing is a big step towards aligning with spirit within us, it’s a big clear out job, as one of my clients once said – ‘like clearing after a hurricane’ and clear we must because only once all the debris is gone we can see, feel, experience the spirit in its most glory. We experience it in us. Until then it’s like a homeless being that seeks and points and cries and shouts to get our attention, but closed hearts do not hear, see or feel and we walk on by leaving no trail of an empty life.

Tree talk

I adore trees. Each and everyone of them, I believe, has a personality, voice, either male or female divine within. They are fascinating entities full of energy and wisdom.

Feelings are just that – feelings

When you feel bad do you judge yourself, does self-hatred come in and grips you, do you think you are being punished and your self-critic begins to scream within? These are thoughts, conditions, reactions that you have learnt to have. When really your feelings are just feelings, they are not thoughts or persecutory voices, they are not behaviours and words you heard or seen mirrored to you in the past that you introjected. What you feel is neither good or bad, you just feel.

Feelings are messangers, pointers, guardians which speak to us. They indicate a direction you should take but often it is an invitation to experience something, nothing more or less. Feelings don’t last, they pass, they lessen and go away but only if we stay with them. We so not project bad or good on to them, we do not judge or seek to run away we simply stay.

I healed through learning to stay with some feelings, which I had labeled as monstrous, bad, threatening in the past. I wanted them out of me as soon as they came in, I despaired in moments of feeling something I thought was going to kill me. I once went within to meet a feeling in my creative imagination, which had a voice, a face, a colour. It was a monstrous dangerous entity as real as you and I and something I had wanted to die for many years. I went to meet it. Yes, I was scared, yes I was resistant but guess what I went there anyway with help of a good therapist who was able to hold whatever was going to come out of my experience.

I saw a magnificent beast, who roared like crazy and was overpowering in every sense of the word, but it held something in its huge and toothy mouth and when I looked closer there was a baby. This monster held a baby in its mouth protective, loving and nurturing. That baby was me and I was content to be looked after by the beast. That image stayed for me and will stay with me forever and I was healed instantly. I never saw my feelings as bad from that point on. There’s always a message, a lesson in something we feel is going to shutter us to pieces. Feelings of anxiety, panic, depression or sadness they are feelings and neither good or bad. They just are and when we drop judgements and conditioned responses to them we switch to being accepting and curious rather than threatened and powerlessness.

I would invite you to think about your feelings and apply the method of allowing holding faith it will pass. Feelings don’t last, they change, transform and go away when we stay with them.

If you don’t know me…

unconditional love, spiritual journey

A Ritual to Read to Each Other
William Stafford

If you don’t know the kind of person I am
and I don’t know the kind of person you are
a pattern that others made may prevail in the world
and following the wrong god home we may miss our star.

For there is many a small betrayal in the mind,
a shrug that lets the fragile sequence break
sending with shouts the horrible errors of childhood
storming out to play through the broken dyke.

And as elephants parade holding each elephant’s tail,
but if one wanders the circus won’t find the park,
I call it cruel and maybe the root of all cruelty
to know what occurs but not recognize the fact.

And so I appeal to a voice, to something shadowy,
a remote important region in all who talk:
though we could fool each other, we should consider–
lest the parade of our mutual life get lost in the dark.

For it is important that awake people be awake,
or a breaking line may discourage them back to sleep;
the signals we give–yes or no, or maybe–
should be clear: the darkness around us is deep.

I read this poem this morning and sadness and a sense of ‘this is what happens again and again’ penetrated me. It is so easy to just carry on, go on with never really getting to the heart of the matter why we are here, why we are in a relationship with a certain person, who are we in relation to them and ourselves.

It is this journey that makes things more interesting, a conscious journey of discovering your truth and then shine it out into the world.

A teacher gave a definition of love last night, which I really loved. He said that

‘Love is a profound appreciation of someone just as they are’

It touched something in me that rings absolute truth. There is the next level, which connects us to ourselves and others on a spirit level where the feeling is all accepting and unconditional where one must be prepared to let something or someone they love go free rather than holding on to them in order to really LOVE them.

I think what I am trying to call for is a close look at your relationship with yourself and your loved one and see if you can really SEE them as they are and for who they are including weaknesses, wounds, shadowy dark sides, irritating habits and all their magnificent traits. All together as this colourful treasure and say I love you just as you are. It is that appreciation that sets the person free, it is that allowing for them to BE that unique soul here on Earth. It is from that fountain of allowing and appreciation they can then go and fulfill their life purpose and be a gift to others and the world.

If this doesn’t happen, how many souls remain unseen, unheard, untouched by the love that is pure spirit. There is this unique opportunity for each of us on a journey of relationships to love the other to spirit, to help them grow their wings, so they can fly free and be just as they are. It is a glorious opportunity to be with another and produce a beautiful union with yourself, them and the spirit.
